Evaluating Expressions
One Step Equations
Tip: Use inverse operations.
Mean, Median, and Mode
Tip: Line up the decimals vertically and compare from right to left.
Tip: Line up the decimals and add normally, then drop down the decimal.
Tip: Line up the decimals and subract normally, then drop down the decimal.
Tip: Move the decimals to the right and write how many places to the right the problem. Then multiply normally and move the decimal that many places from the right.
Tip: Start by moving the decimal in the divisor and remember to move the decimal in the dividend the same number of times.
Conversions
Tip: Use K H D B D C M for the metric system.
Practice Problems (Metric System)
Practice Problems (Mixed Units)
Perimeter
Tip: It is the same for all shapes: just add up the sides.
Area
Tip: Squares (Area = base x height), Rectangles (Area = base x height), and Triangles (A = base x height divided by 2) Write the formula, plug the numbers in below it and solve it below that.
Circles
Cherry pie delicious, apple pies are too.
(C = pi x d) , (A = pi x r^2)

Show me video 2 (improper fraction to mixed number)
Tip: Find a common denominator, then add the numerators and keep the denominator.
Tip: Find a common denominator, then subtract the numerators and keep the denominator.
Practice Problems 2 (Adding and subtracting mixed numbers)
Tip: First REDUCE, then multiply the numerators and denominators.

Proportions
Use cross products.
Show me video 1 (Are they equal?)
Show me video 2 (Solving for an unknown)
Practice Problems 3

Practice Problems 1 (decimals to fractions)
Practice Problems 2 (fractions to decimals)

Adding and Subtracting Integers
SKA (Same, Keep, Add) and DBS (Different, Bigger, Subtract)
Multiply/Divide first. If the signs are different, the answer is negative. If the signs are the same, the answer is positive.
Tip: Walk over to the elevator, then take it either up or down to your floor.
